The waterlily I planted in the pond finally bloomed but I haven't been able to see it because it is only open during the day and I have missed it.  But today I finally saw it and it did not disappoint.  Enjoy friends.

Due to the fact that Lexi and I have decided to spend consecutive weekends in des moines we decided a puppy was in order.  Jasper is a 9 week old Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier who loves to sleep more than anything else in the world.  He also has a phobia of going to the bathroom indoors which is fine by me as long as he stays this way.  He also said that he is excited to meet you and would like for you to come and visit us in dsm.

fun in vegas

alexa and I just got back from a wonderful weekend in vegas with my mom and dave. while neither of us were lucky in our gambling endeavors, we had an amazing weekend filled with great eats and fantastic sights. the top picture is of lexi being a tourist on the strip drinking her large beverage, in the middle is the view from our room of those famous fountains next door, and lastly is a picture of the tower we stayed in, which also happened to be housing a celebrity that weekend, either beiber or larry flint. both were staying at our hotel and we happened to see one of the two in a golden wheelchair.

Boom Roasted

I am terribly sorry to all those (mom and pops) who have been looking at my blog for updates only to find the blizzard post time and time again. Central Iowa is not that interesting in the middle of winter; the snow gets old very quickly. I will attempt to update my blog more hopefully with updates of the new house once I close on it two weeks from tomorrow. Above is a clove of roasted garlic from dinner last night. I made some garlic-honey pizza that Alexa and I
first had at the wonderful Fong's Pizza in downtown DSM.
